Revvit is a Massachusetts-based startup in the Berkshire Innovation Center’s Stage 2 Accelerator program in Pittsfield. They are developing low-cost EV charging infrastructure that can greatly increase availability of charging at locations where cars are already parked such as workplaces, recreational sites, hotels, transit hubs and more. Revvit has collaborated with local timber business Cruckfather LLC to build wood-based structures for the charger. This is a first-of-its-kind collaboration between wood producers and an EV charging hardware company and is helping Revvit’s product stand out as a uniquely sustainable and visually appealing type of EV charging infrastructure.
Recently featured in the Boston Globe, Revvit is expanding its deployment into Western Massachusetts and is looking for sites to install its chargers as an amenity for their local customers and communities. Revvit’s chargers can generally be installed on existing electrical infrastructure which saves sites thousands of dollars in installation costs compared to other EV charging products. The company is looking for public and private site hosts in the Woodland Partnership member towns and beyond to create beautiful, inexpensive, easy-to-use and sustainable charging hubs all around the region. These sites can be municipal parking, fleet parking, workplace parking, hotels, apartments & condos, recreational sites, transit hubs, parks, and more.
